At Classic Cooking, we believe that learning to cook well goes hand in hand with learning to eat well. That’s why we’ve made health and wellness a core focus of our culinary programs. Whether you’re joining us for a class or a special event, we aim to provide more than just great recipes—we offer practical knowledge about nutrition, mindful eating, and choosing between the right and wrong foods.
Our goal isn’t to sell supplements or promote fads. We simply want to empower people to take better care of themselves through the joy of cooking. With heart disease still the leading – and often preventable – cause of death in America, we believe culinary education can make a real difference.
So how can we help? We offer a number of unique, health-focused events designed to support a more nourishing lifestyle.
Health & Wellness Offers:
Lunch & Learns:
Our Lunch & Learns involve a lengthy lecture in which our chef instructor will cover the underlying issues of leading a nutritional lifestyle while your group enjoys a healthy lunch. If your group wishes to learn a certain topic and dine on certain fare, let our staff know and we will accommodate your request within reason.
Lunch & Learns can be held either at Classic Cooking’s location or your own location. If you decide to hold the Lunch & Learn outside of our facilities, we will factor in a delivery/transportation cost.

Cooking Demos:
Telling a person what to eat and what to avoid is one thing; teaching that person how to cook a nutritional meal is a whole different animal. In our Cooking Demo, our chef instructor will show you and your group how to properly handle certain foods, the different alternatives of cooking said foods, and general tips and tricks for purchasing them on your own. Whatever the chef instructor makes in the Cooking Demo, he or she will also serve to your group.

Team Building Cooking Classes:
A delicious break from the workplace. For the most hands-on route, guests will listen to the chef’s initial lectures before heading into the kitchen, cooking their own dishes, and sitting back down to dine on what they’ve made. Classic Cooking offers over a dozen menus for groups to choose from and can accommodate any allergy or dietary restriction.
Team Building Cooking Classes are held only at Classic Cooking’s location. We cannot commit to outside locations due to logistical conflicts.

Weekly Cooking Programs:
As an accredited cooking school, we host a number of weekly cooking programs and series that cover a variety of culinary concepts, techniques, and skill-sets. All of our programs are open to the general public but differ from one another with the respective topics that are covered. Keeping relevant with the purpose of this webpage, we suggest three specific healthy-oriented programs: the 24-Week Practical Series, the 6-Week Nutritional Series, and the 4-Week Healthy Meals Series.
