About – Receptions:

At Classic Cooking, we offer a unique venue for group receptions where guests can indulge in delicious, expertly prepared dishes without lifting a finger. Whether you’re hosting a wedding reception, corporate celebration, birthday party, anniversary, special family reunion, luncheon, or more, our team will take care of everything, from mouthwatering appetizers to unforgettable main courses. You’ll be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy a flavorful experience in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Perfect for those looking for a fun, memorable event without the stress of cooking, our receptions allow you to focus on enjoying great food and even better company. If interested, your group may also request a hands-on cooking party in addition to your reception. You can plan such an option either before, during, or after your reception. Private parties will be charged separately to your reception cost. For more info on private parties, click here.
Menus:
For the time being, Classic Cooking has no major limitations when it comes to curating a menu for receptions. If you would like to take a menu from any of our previously hosted classes, you may present it to us and we can work with that. If you want something entirely custom from the ground up, we can commit to that as well on the condition that you have a quick meeting with one of our chefs to cover every single desired dish.
Let us know if you also wish to have your food served in coursed meals or presented buffet-style!
Cost Structure:
For private receptions, we charge groups $80 – $100 per person with an additional 20% gratuity. This includes your venue space, food, house wine, house beer, soft drinks, and default table and seating settings. Exact pricing is dependent on the listed and chosen dishes that groups request.
Additional, optional costs include special wine or beer orders (to be placed through us), a general cocktail, upgraded menus, and enhanced table and seating settings. Groups are welcome to bring in their own items aside from their own alcohol; due to our liquor license, we prohibit guests from bringing in their own wine, beer, and liquor.
Discount:
If your group chooses to host a Private Party with us right after your reception, your group will receive 10% off your total reception cost.
How to Schedule:
To schedule a reception, simply call or email our staff to ask for availability. We’ll tell you which time slots work best for both of us and kickstart the reservation process. When scheduling a reception, it helps if you have the following information on hand to share with our staff:

Space and Tech:
Our facility is technically equipped to suit audio and visual requirements, PowerPoint presentations, and internet access. We have two main wings for your group to occupy. Below is a list of some of our equipment in both areas.
North Wing:
- Room for up to 64 seated attendees

- DVD Player
- CD Player
- Extendable Presentation Pointer Fork
- 36” x 24” Whiteboard with Erasers and Markers

If you have any conflicts with your technical specifications, be sure to contact us beforehand. Groups are welcome to bring in their own equipment for receptions within reason.
Additional Info:
Alcohol – Alcoholic beverages must be served by a member of Classic Cooking’s staff in accordance with Arizona State Law and Arizona Liquor Board. The staff reserves the right to stop serving alcohol if conditions arise that could endanger other guests or members of staff.
Cash Bar – Groups may also opt to have a cash bar for their private reception if they want their individual attendees to pay out of pocket. Guests can pay via cash, card, or Venmo.
Discount (No Alcohol) – If you do not wish to have any alcohol served for your private reception, we will take off $5 per person from your total cost. Soft drinks such as sparkling water and soda will still be offered.
Allergies/Dietary Restrictions – Classic Cooking accommodates any food allergies and dietary restrictions. At the time of making your reservation, you must notify Classic Cooking of such restrictions. We are not a gluten free facility.
Appetizers & Hors d’Oeuvres – Groups may also order additional bite-sized dishes at an additional cost for their reserved events that will be served upon arrival. Respective appetizers & hors d’oeuvres include but are not limited to:
- Charcuterie Board(s)
- Caprese Skewers
- Shrimp Cocktail
- Tapenade Crostini
Cancellation Policy – Cancellation for any reason must be received by Classic Cooking at least two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled event. In the event of a cancellation, 15% of the total cost will be retained by Classic Cooking for administrative costs. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund for payments already processed.
Guest Count – We can accommodate up to 80 guests for a reception. The maximum guest accommodation may change due to specific seating or setup requests. Final guaranteed guest count must be received by Classic Cooking at least one week prior to the date of the event. All charges will be based on the guaranteed guest count OR the actual number of guests in attendance – whichever is greater.
