Host Your Next Private Party Or Event With Us!

About:
Schedule a private cooking class with us! From Private Parties to competitive cooking experiences complete with wine pairings, Classic Cooking can make your event extra special and significant! When it comes to group cooking classes in Phoenix, you’d be hard pressed to find a better option!
No event is too small or too difficult for us; Classic Cooking can accommodate all of your needs. We will use only the freshest and finest ingredients for your meals (as long as we know what you would like us to prepare). Besides food, we strive to bring the most appropriate ambiance and service to suit your needs.
For regular Private Parties, we would treat this the same as a Team Building event, only for a more intimate and personal group. The structure of this will incorporate an initial cooking class followed by a casual (or formal, if you prefer) dining experience. If you have any potential additional activities for your event, let us know and we will accommodate. Cost Structure:
Typical private parties are based off of two aspects:
- Base Cost (Menu Cost & Guest Count) – Groups will have to choose from a dozen menus crafted by our chefs. Each menu is roughly $90 to $100 per person (not including food upgrades). House wine, beer, and soft drinks are included in the base cost. Allergy/dietary changes and substitutions are not factored into the base cost.
- 20% Gratuity – Regardless of the selected menu and guest count, we charge each event 20% gratuity for our staff members that will be working with your group.
Notes:
- In order to officially reserve your desired date and time, a deposit of 50% of the total cost must be received by Classic Cooking.
- Additional costs will be factored in if parties ask for special alcohol requests, apron orders, table cloth orders, and more.
- If group sizes are too small, we will automatically charge a $750 minimum base cost with a proportional gratuity.
Additional Info:
Alcohol – We serve complimentary house wine and beer (including local craft selections) for guests. Hard alcohol is not permitted. Alcoholic beverages must be served by a member of Classic Cooking’s staff in accordance with Arizona State Law and Arizona Liquor Board. The staff reserves the right to stop serving alcohol if conditions arise that could endanger other guests or members of staff.
Cash Bar – Groups may also opt to have a cash bar for their private cooking party if they want their individual attendees to pay out of pocket. Guests can pay via cash, card, or Venmo.
Discount (No Alcohol) – If you do not wish to have any alcohol served for your private cooking party, we will take off $5 per person from your total cost. Soft drinks such as sparkling water and soda will still be offered.
Allergies/Dietary Restrictions – Classic Cooking accommodates any food allergies and dietary restrictions. At the time of making your reservation, you must notify Classic Cooking of such restrictions. If Classic Cooking receives allergy/dietary requests the day of the event with no prior notification, we cannot guarantee that substitute dishes will be provided. We are not a gluten free facility.
Appetizers & Hors d’Oeuvres – Groups may also order additional bite-sized dishes at an additional cost for their reserved events that will be served upon arrival. Respective appetizers & hors d’oeuvres include but are not limited to:
- Charcuterie Board(s)
- Caprese Skewers
- Shrimp Cocktail
- Tapenade Crostini
Aprons – You may order customized aprons with a company logo at a pre-paid cost of $30 per person, along with a one-time $45 fee for logo set-up. Custom aprons require a 3-week advance order.
Cancellation Policy – Cancellation for any reason must be received by Classic Cooking at least two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled event. In the event of a cancellation, 15% of the total cost will be retained by Classic Cooking for administrative costs. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund for payments already processed.
Chef Hats/Chef Toques – Groups may choose to order chef hats/toques to wear during their event for an additional fee. Toques are priced at $5.00 per person.
Extra Time – Beyond our regular 2.5 time slots, we can offer additional event time for private party groups priced at $100 for every extra half hour. Please check with our staff some days might be too busy for us to implement this.
Group Sizes – Classic Cooking can host large group cooking classes for recreational purposes. Depending on availability, we can accommodate up to roughly 80 or so people for a single event. We have multiple kitchens, so if we have no other classes or events being hosted, we can also schedule two simultaneous group cooking classes for private parties.
Late Fee – A $50 late charge will automatically be applied towards late or unpunctual groups for every 15 minutes that pass after the designated start and end time.
Location – Classic Cooking is located in Scottsdale, Arizona. We host team building events in Phoenix and team building events in Scottsdale, so potential clients should make sure that their groups are within vicinity of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area if they wish to cook, wine, and dine with us.
Transportation – We ask that clients themselves arrange their own transportation to our location. Since we primarily host team building events in Phoenix and team building events in Scottsdale, we advise larger clients to plan out their scheduling accordingly.
