12-Week Pastry Series
Spring Program: Wednesday evenings starting May 2nd, 2018 @ 6:30 – 9:00pm
This unique pastry series is designed to teach you all about the essentials in the world of pastries. Led by the highly qualified and talented Chef Dan Boman, you will walk through essentials such as yeast and pastry doughs, quick breads, cookies, icings, chocolate tempering, individual pastries and assembled cakes only to name a few. The aroma of baking breads, the secret of the very best pastry dough for any pie or tart, decorating that special cake or plating individual desserts will make you the envy of family or friends.

Summer Kids & Teens Cooking Camps
Every Week in June & July (Except for the Week of the 4th of July)
Kids Camp @ 10:00am – 12:00pm, Ages 8-12
Teens Camp @ 2:00pm – 4:00pm, Ages 13-17
Have fun in the kitchen and meet new friends! Learn both novice and advanced culinary techniques. At the end of class, students will eat what they make! $150 for 4 day session (Monday-Thursday).

Pastry Class – Phyllo Dough
July 21st @ 10:00am
Working with Phyllo Dough- Learn how to work with this very versatile and very delicate dough. From sweet to savory, you will create classics like Spanakopita and Baklava. In addition, you’ll make Phyllo Cup appetizers using a savory mushroom filling. This is a good entry level baking class. Iced tea will be served. Bring containers to take home your creations!

Pastry Class – Scones
August 4th @ 10:00am
Scones! Breakfast or tea time, scones are better than a muffin; and fancier too! Students will make Lavender Scones, Fruit Scones and Lemon Scones; master the technique and the possibilities are limitless! The instructor will demonstrate how to make a lemon curd which will be served at the end of class to enjoy with their scones. Beginner bakers will enjoy this class. Bring containers for taking home your baked goods.

Pastry Class – Bread
August 18th @ 10:00am
One of the rare instances where you’ll have bread before dinner. Students will make a zucchini and sun-dried tomato bread, a hazelnut chocolate breakfast bread, and lemon poppy bread. The instructor will work with you every step of the way. Beginner bakers will enjoy this class. Bring containers for taking home your baked goods.
