In this class you will learn the basic skills of tasting a wine the way experts are trained as part of their Wine and Spirits Education certifications. \nThe Wine 101 class will go through the four-part wine process in-depth: \n\nAppearance\nNose\nTaste\nConclusion\n\nIn addition\, you will learn the magic in traditional wine making process used in Champagne. Guests will be able to enjoy complimentary glasses of wine to analyze and enjoy. (Exact wines will be posted soon.) We will also provide a charcuterie board for guests. \nThis class is a must for anyone who wants to kickstart or improve their wine tasting skills! \nInstructor – Lisa Utano:\n \nThis wine series will be hosted by Lisa Utano\, CSW. Lisa is a Certified Specialist of Wine with the Society of Wine Educators and has been studying and attending conferencing with the organization for over 12 years. \nShe has also worked with the school as the Wine Expert for their wine paired dinners\, presenting and educating the guests on the wines served for the evening. Hosted by Chef Andrew Schmidt\, the Around the World Series will educate students on individual cultures\, their culinary staples\, and the context behind it all! This series is open to all skill-levels\, ideal for those who want to become more worldly when it comes to international cuisine. \nEach week follows the same structure: students will listen to the chef instructor’s lecture over the weekly topics before heading into the kitchen to make the respective dishes themselves. Once the food is prepared and plated\, everyone gets to enjoy a family-style meal of what they’ve just made with a complimentary glass of wine. \nCost:\nThe Around the World Series is $600.00 for all six weeks of classes. Our chef instructor will discuss how to make rolls\, slice fish\, and how to assemble nigiri and sashimi before bringing everyone into the kitchen for a hands-on cooking portion! Each participant will be able to prepare their own part of the menu before enjoying their creations with sides like soy\, ginger\, and wasabi. Please join us for a demonstration then hands-on portion of the art of making sushi! \nMore Info:\n\nTo make a reservation\, please use the PayPal registration below.
