DESCRIPTION:Young Chef Cooking Program Week 3 – Baking & Pastry Fundamentals:\n\nAppetizer: Savory Herb Scones\nEntrée: Hand Pies (Chicken or Vegetable)\nDessert: Chocolate Chip Cookies\n\nAbout:\nDoes your child want to truly expand their culinary repertoire? Consider enrolling them in our Young Chef Cooking Program where students learn how to whip up delicious meals! Each week\, students will listen to an initial lecture from our chef instructor. They will then head into the kitchen to utilize the skills they’ve just learned\, crafting a different weekly menu before they all sit down and enjoy their dishes together together. This is a great opportunity for students to learn both basic and advanced culinary techniques and develop a higher level of know-how.  \nAll skill-levels welcome. \nMore Info:\n\nCOST: $420 for 6-week session. Reservations are based on a First Paid-First Serve basis. \nThe Young Chef Cooking Program is held on select weekdays\, 10:00am – 1:00pm and includes all supplies\, ingredients and beverages.\nCancellation must be made 72 hours in advance of course time for fee refund. If you do not cancel within the 3 days\, you will receive credit at Classic Cooking. \nClasses WILL NOT be held on school holidays. By the end of the course\, students will have a full understanding of nearly every facet of cooking. Hosted by Chef Andrew Schmidt\, the Nutritional Series will educate students on health trends\, nourishing concepts\, proper techniques\, and more! This series is open to all skill-levels\, targeting those who have little to no nutritional experience or those who wish to improve their current skillset. \nStudents will first head into the kitchen and listen to an initial lecture from Chef Drew over each daily menu. Then they work together under the supervision of the chef instructors. Once everything is finished\, the students enjoy their freshly-made meals and sit down in the dining room where they listen to Karla Schmidt’s presentation over the science behind the weekly food and topics. \nNutritional Series – Cost:\nThe Nutritional Series is $600.00 for all six weeks of classes.
