DESCRIPTION:Week 1 Menu – Intro & Fruity:\n\nBlueberry Muffins\nBerry Crumble\n\nAbout:\n6-WEEK SESSION BEGINS JANUARY 13TH AND RUNS THROUGH FEBRUARY 17TH!\nFocus on the sweeter side of life. Join our After-School Baking Series and whip up some delicious desserts! Each week\, the students will learn and bake a new collection of weekly dishes before they’ll all sit down together and enjoy their prepared sweets. This is a great way for students to learn basic and advanced baking techniques and develop a higher level of skill. Available to ages 10-17. All skill-levels are welcome for our kids baking classes! \nMore Info:\n\nCOST: $390 for 6-week session. No registrations for individual classes. Class is limited to 16 students. Reservations are based on a First Come-First Serve basis. \nTo register\, use the PayPal button below. If you wish to register via a separate method\, please call (480)-502-0177.  \nCancellations must be made 72 hours in advance of course time for fee refund. If you do not cancel within the 3 day time period\, you will instead receive credit to be used at Classic Cooking.\nThis After-School Baking Series session is held on Mondays\, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.\, and includes all supplies\, ingredients and beverages.\nTopics vary each class. Students will prepare the baked items and sit down and eat together. Please bring containers to take home any leftovers. A copy of the recipes will be sent via email in advance.\nStudents MUST wear close-toed shoes and tie back long hair as per Arizona health code.\nAfter-School Classes are DROP OFF ONLY. Sorry\, no parents allowed!\nPLEASE DROP OFF AND PICK UP STUDENTS IN A TIMELY MANNER.\n\nA late fee will be assessed for each 15 minutes of tardiness.\n\n\nTo see how prior Baking Series sessions looked like\, visit our Instagram page!\n\nA MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION FORM must be on file for your child to attend.\nIt is very important that we receive at least 72-hours advanced notice of ANY food allergies or dietary restrictions. Learn about the diet’s guiding principles\, the Mediterranean Food Pyramid\, broad-range of commonly used ingredients\, and potential health-promoting benefits.\n\n\nMenu:\n\nStarter/Soup/Salad:\n\nHummus\, Roasted Red Pepper Dip and White Bean Salad served with Homemade Pita\n\n\nMain Course:\n\nGrilled Moroccan Lamb Chops served with Spicy Tomato Harissa\, Couscous\, and Glazed Carrots with Fresh Herbs\n\n\nDessert:\n\nHoney Tangerine Polenta Cake\n\n\n\n\n\nNutritional Series – About:\nJoin us in this six-week program as we take a look at the nutritional side of the kitchen and dining table. Hosted by Chef Andrew Schmidt\, the Nutritional Series will educate students on health trends\, nourishing concepts\, proper techniques\, and more! This series is open to all skill-levels\, targeting those who have little to no nutritional experience or those who wish to improve their current skillset. \nStudents will first head into the kitchen and listen to an initial lecture from Chef Drew over each daily menu. Then they work together under the supervision of the chef instructors. Once everything is finished\, the students enjoy their freshly-made meals and sit down in the dining room where they listen to Karla Schmidt’s presentation over the science behind the weekly food and topics. \nNutritional Series – Cost:\nThe Nutritional Series is $600.00 for all six weeks of classes.
