The stollen is popular for brunches or a casual Sunday afternoon with coffee.\n\n\nBuchten\n\nBuchteln or Wuchteln – you will hear both expressions in Germany – are a relatively unknown treasure. They are pull-apart style yeasted sweet rolls\, filled with apricot jam.\n\n\n\nAbout:\nLooking to indulge yourself in some German cuisine? Want to boost your overall pastry knowledge with a variety of foreign dishes? If so\, consider our German Pastry Series. Held over six weeks\, students will learn new topical pastries and desserts straight from Deutschland. Each class will focus on an initial classroom portion before everyone heads into the kitchen to try their hands at what they’ve just learned. This series is open to all skill levels. \n(If you do not wish to eat the dishes at class\, please bring your own to-go containers.) \nCost:\nThe German Pastry Series is $520.00 for all six weeks of classes. DESCRIPTION:About:\nBasic knife skills are important\, whether a veteran cook or a beginner\, everyone can use some basic training with kitchen knives. Class includes demonstration by one of our chef instructors\, Andrew Schmidt\, followed by practical skills of various cuts of fruits and vegetables\, herbs and garlic. Each student will learn how to debone a chicken\, and a stir fry will be made with the chicken and the vegetables. Purchasing and care of knives will also be discussed. \nMore Info:\n\nClass includes light meal of chicken and vegetable stir fry.\nThis is a Specialty Class. No vouchers will be accepted. Cancellation must be made at least 72 hours in advance for fee refund. If you do not cancel within this time\, you will receive credit at Classic Cooking.\n$65 per person.
