DESCRIPTION:Curriculum:\nIntro \n\nHistory of Barbecue\nTypes of Grills and Smokers\nBasic Tools\nTypes of Woods\nCommon Cuts of Meats Used\nCooking and Resting Times\nSpices\, Rubs\, and Sauces\n\nFood Included: \n\nPork Belly Burnt Ends\nBeef Brisket\nRibs\nSmoked Chicken\nSmoked Cheeses\n\nThere will also be a hands-on portion where students will make a corn salsa\, potato salad\, and jicama slaw to go with prepared meats that will be served. \nAbout:\nChef Instructor Mark Kohut brings his passion and knowledge for barbecuing and grilling to Classic Cooking Academy’s premiere course designed to make you the master of this more popular-than-ever cooking style. Class begins with a complete demonstration and discussion by Chef Instructor Mark Kohut. Proper grilling and smoking techniques will be covered. Class attendees will then enter the kitchen to cover side dishes. At the end\, attendees will enjoy a buffet-styled luncheon with their kitchen creations as well as meat that has been fully prepared for them. \nMore Info:\n\n\n\nThis Specialty Class is held on Saturday\, November 6th\, 11:00am – 2:00pm. All gratuities are evenly distributed amongst our staff members.\n\n\nWe have a 72-hour cancellation policy. This means that you have three days before the class starts to cancel or change your reservation.\n\n If you have to cancel within this time period\, you will not receive a credit to apply towards a different event. We do not issue monetary refunds.\n\n\nNo dietary restrictions or allergies will be accommodated for this class. If one or more items on today’s menu conflicts with your needs\, please reserve spots for an alternative Cooking Class.\nClass size is limited to 20 people. He decided to turn his passion for all beverages into a career when he started his first full-time job at a large wine retailer in 2005.
